New Beginnings.. and upcoming events.

I have been a bit distracted the past few months. With the holidays, family time as well as entering a new year, I have switched shops as well as embarked for another trip for the net 3 weeks.

First things first.
I now work at Polished Tattooing
with my Weds at Analog Tattoo
Polished Tattooing is a brand new establishment owned by Jeremy Reser whom I have had the pleasure of working with for almost 4 years now. The idea behind the shop, is to have a smaller collective of artists with intent of pushing the envelope, while moving forward together as a group under the influence of one another's inspiration. With that we are attempting to retain the old shop feel of a parlour, or what we imagined our forefathers being emerged in back in their time. With trying to produce our best work yet, still capturing what a tattoo is, and where it comes from.

Polished Tattooing
840 Willow St suite 500
San Jose CA 95125
408 271-9990
(at the intersection of Willow/Bird Ave)

featured artists
Jeremy Reser
Blake Brand
Christo Vales
Nate Abbott
Ali Walters
(with a solid base of guests tattooers)

Also a big thanks to the support of our fellow local tattooers/friends alike
(too many names to list at the moment, but you all know who you are, and with that we will continue to help in return)

Also on a small side note.
I will be tattooing at the Philadelphia tattoo convention the weekend of Feb 10-12th
along with Monday the 13th at Philadelphia Eddies Chinatown Tattoo.

I will be on the road tattooing and back home on Feb 22nd. I am currently booking into late April if anyone is trying to jump into the schedule, or in event I have forgotten to book anyone appointments.
As I mentioned, the past few months have been a whirlwind and its been a fun and equal challenge making this all possible.
I will talk to you all soon, via e-mail, or phone until I return!
Thanks to all my friends/family and unforgettable clientle!!

New changes for the New Year...

As of the new year I will be making a move into a new shop.
The transition will most likely happen gradually over the first week or two following the 1st of the New Year 2012.

After a nice road taking me to some great places and working along side even greater people.
A big thanks goes now to Orly and Toby for all their kind words, and conscience efforts in making Humble Beginnings a great place for me to have worked for the past 3.5years.

Polished Tattoo Parlour opening in Willow Glen of San Jose,
will be a new place to find my footing working with a smaller group of individuals to focus more on the a shop collective/team aspects while moving forward in the art of tattooing. Taking what we currently do now to a new level for ourselves, bigger projects, networking, etc while retaining the values and ethics of tattooing close at hand.
Each day goes by, and I do not forget where I have came from, or who I have worked with.
Be big or small, Thanks to everyone who as had an inspiring contribution over the course of my time in this trade.

I will post all the details come the first of the year, with a shop phone number, address, etc.
This is just a brief post of what will be happening in the next month.
Thanks
Happy New Year

Staying busy at home, utilizing a lot of my free time to paint. The 4 sheet set is going to be a collaboration set with 2 other artists for a themed flash set for the Feb Philly convention. Above is the sneak peak of my contribution. The other photos are random, the other single painting was a gift for another tattoo shop, and the sketch being a failed painting I started which I will tackle again and post in due time. Do time? 12345678910

A few tattoos. Forgive me for I am really bad at taking photos, or at least liking the ones that I take. Not to mention I have failed to get a charger for my battery on one of my better cameras.
Here are a few tattoos anyways; a partially in the works cowgirl/rocket ship tattoo, booze bottle, the Sierras , a lion with a ribbon, and some bamboo/name on one of the Gubatan clansman.

Hey my blog seems to be currently down, I have encountered this problem before, and it keeps me from posting. My biggest complaint with blogger is that in their Help section, there is no way to actually contact anyone, just links to forums where people are all confused and have problems. The last place to be sent. Hopefully its a matter of time before it becomes active again, for I have tried sending a few messages but have yet to get a response or any help, again I am not sure if they are even being read. SO momentary patience while I try to resolve this problem. In the meantime Happy Thanksgiving
